Songwriters have collaborated on their craft since songs first hit the planet. Think of the great combinations. Lennon/McCartney. Carole King / Gerry Goffin. Dave Dobbyn / Ian Morris. Rogers / Hammerstein. And on and on.
Right now, in these formative years at school, it is an aspect of songwriting that you should experience. You can learn a lot from the compromising nature of songwriting with others. Or – you may split the songs – one of you writes the words. The other the music. Anything is possible.
